Sunday stroll

Things finally cleared up around here and now we have this wonderful fall weather! Perfect weather for a Sunday morning stroll around the neighborhood and then a picnic at the lake where one can ride rocking buffalo - well I guess Bison since even at "fort rotary" buffalo are extinct.

Little Rock Zoo

So Daddy took his second of 7 (that's right 7!!) licensing exams today in Little rock. So we tagged along and got to hang out with Uncle charley and Aunt Clem and Cousin Marian as well - and we even got to visit the Little rock zoo. Fun for all - well except maybe for John.

Hours of fun

The kids discovered that the cabinet next to the couch and breakfast table has basically nothing in it - the perfect place to climb in and out of, pretend its a train, play hide and seek in, etc. Hours of fun to be had. And we've only had 5 smashed fingers in 3 days! Perhaps not he best play thing but still loads of fun.

Tree Man

Linden and I have been watching "the Tree Man" our octogenarian tree expert who planted half the trees in our yard, as he takes down some dead limbs from our huge trees - up 30 feet in a lift, one hand holding a rope tied to the limb, the other hand wielding the chain saw. Geesh!
