Strawberry shortcake

After some yummy grilled pork chops with pineapple salsa and roasted corn on the cob on our picnic table - what better way to finish things off then strawberry shortcake followed by a thorough whip cream bowl licking. Ah summer.

Boys camping trip

Linden and John had a great father/son camping trip with little and big Renato last weekend. Here they are ready to leave.

Petting Zoo

Boy does it pay being so close to a large Aggi university. By far the best petting zoo we've ever been to and it happens twice a year!

Dance class Observation Day

So today was the first time we got to see what goes on behind closed doors at dance class. "Observation day" Just a few weeks prior to the final performance. Ours is the child facing the wrong direction watching the girls and not practicing his shuffling.

Cameron's Pond

Ben Cameron, childhood friend of John's, just moved back to Jonesboro with his wife and 7 month old baby. They are staying at his families retreat just south of us on the ridge. Its amazing. A little boy's paradise. Fishing with daddy in the paddle boat.

And somehow we have no pictures of the 45 minutes spent swimming naked in the pond.

Holy Boy-ness!!

So Mary and took the kiddos to listen to some live music (blues and bluegrass) at ASU while John took another exam and big Renato rode in a bike race. The boys played in the dusty dirt with cars. It took about an hour before they both asked to take off their shirts and after a thorough slathering with sunscreen they both proceeded (immediately) to rub dirt on their bellies - or in Linden's case roll around in the dirt.

Which somehow lead to wrestling - this is a first for us. Not sure what to think about this.



And while we watched the boys wrestle Evie disappeared and after a split second of panic was discovered (quite proud of herself) under the stroller.

Spilt Milk

Evie is creating things all over the place these days. Today she finished her cereal and announced, "Hey Mama! Turtle!" personally I think it looks like a fish.
