Spring break at the Lake

Kacky and I took Linden, Evie and big cousins Nikki and Blakelynn to the lake house for a long weekend. Lots of playing, walking, movie watching, craft projects, egg dying etc. No way to avoid this outcome. Linden was much more fascinated by what was inside his egg and how to get it out then what he put on the outside.

And Kites!!! to fly on the air strip

The house looks a little different

So our house got a kick in the pants this week. We had a fundraiser for Chad Causey (John's best friend from childhood who is running for congress) We now have a living room and artwork filled walls.

Creative sleeper - part 2

So as I came up to get Evie from her nap I realized things were a miss upstairs. Linden was fast asleep in our bed - I of course had no idea he'd left his room - on the monitor it just sounded like he went to sleep. The scary part is - not sure if you can see it in this picture but he is completely entangled in thread - spool of brown thread trapped in the crevasses of the old sewing table we use as a bedside table. Around his wrists, his toes, his NECK!!!! Then he just fell asleep and slept soundly for several hours. When I went to bed that night there were several staples, 4 or 5 safety pins, and a 3 inch long straight pin under my pillow! We are on to a whole new level of baby proofing - danger mouse proofing.

Spring Concert

"Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam" - really too cute to express
I had a lot of fun making all the sets and props for the whole school. Quite the cardboard and butcher paper project.
